Installation of new pumps and piping
Our customer, Wallonia's leading water distributor, asked us to replace an 800m3/h motor-driven pump unit, and to take charge of the entire on-site installation.
This involved enlarging and reinforcing the pump base, welding in new stainless steel piping, installing and aligning the pump unit, and coordinating all stages of the project.
We then commission the pump together with the customer.
The customer is delighted with the way the work was carried out. MMCo & Redytec took charge of the whole project, and the customer only had to deal with one person.
Ensival boiler feed pump to gas-fired power plant
An energy producer in Flanders asked us to repair, among other things, its Ensival PRNR 150-20 boiler feed pump.
The pump's operating conditions are
Water at 321°C
Flow rate 260 m3
discharge pressure 137 bar
A speed of 2970 RPM.
The pump had already been running for quite a few hours and, in addition, there was a water leak between the volute casing and the back plate of the pump.
MMCo completely repaired this pump, re-machined the volute and backplate, replaced the bearings, mechanical seal, all secondary seals and tested the pump.
MMCo then installed and recommissioned the pump, which has been running like clockwork for some time.
Ensival MHV8 vertical pump + well test
Our customer asked us to change the insert of a high pressure and high temperature multi-cell pump on site.
One of our technicians was on site to carry out the operation and make all the fine adjustments necessary for this type of pump.
Expertise and experience are more than necessary.
The pump has been put back into service and is working perfectly.
We then took the old Insert and completely reworked it, restoring all the dimensions to their original state.
The work was rigorous, professional and meticulous.
All parts were identified, photographed, measured and catalogued.
During reassembly, we internally balanced the shaft with all its wheels.
Once all reconditioning operations were completed, the Insert was packed in long-life packaging.
A complete disassembly and reassembly report with all information, photos, measurements was provided to the customer, this report and all photos are shared with the customer via our cloud.
Total Raf Ensival

Arcelor Mittal Ghent
Our client, a large steel company with production sites all over the world.
The challenge was to quickly loosen the large M160 nuts on the hot rolling mill gearbox.
The customer was using heavy hydraulic tensioners, and this was a difficult operation that presented safety risks (high hydraulic pressures) and was time consuming, resulting in net production losses.
We offered mechanical tensioners that could be tightened with a simple small torque wrench. On first installation the customer wanted to check that the recommended torque gave the required elongation and it did.
The time required to disassemble and install the nut with the hydraulic wrench was more than 8 hours and required the use of a crane.
Now, dismantling and reassembly takes only 2 hours and no longer requires a crane.
In addition to response time, safety has been significantly improved.
Burgo Ardennes fan
On December 27, a large paper mill near Luxembourg contacted us following a fan crash.
On December 28, Redytec submitted its offer and work schedule.
On January 3rd, we started work by demolishing the old foundation, then rebuilding and expanding the foundation to accommodate the new fan and its frame. Of course, the dimensions of the new fan were not the same.
Once the new chassis and fan were installed, we sealed the chassis with our own epoxy resin. The solid mass and chassis now form a highly durable unit.
This work was carried out by Redytec and its staff in record time, in very difficult working conditions, allowing our client to restart production as quickly as possible.
Pump Foundation Repair
A customer located in Mons had a big problem with the foundations of his pump. The foundation had already been redone but the bond between the last layer of concrete and the old concrete was no longer sticking.
The mass was no longer able to absorb the vibrations of the pump and hold it properly. Due to the vibrations, the pump was damaged very quickly.
We removed the pump, pushed back the last layer and cleaned the surface.
The pump frame was reinstalled in the correct position with a new anchor bolt.
Later, we grout our epoxy resin to obtain a monolithic support.
After 24 hours of drying, the epoxy resin level is the final level, there is no need to adjust the alignment after work.
The work took us 4 days and allowed the customer to restart his plant on time!
There is no better bond between concrete and steel than our epoxy resin.
Ensival AH Repair
A few weeks ago, a customer in Antwerp asked us to urgently repair an Ensival AH pump. We tried to replace all the internal parts, but due to the extensive damage, we took the pump back to the workshop with the customer.
5 days later the pump was completely and perfectly repaired with new parts that we machined and heat treated ourselves.
The customer immediately resumes production, saving a lot of money.
During the following fall shutdown, the same customer entrusted us with 3 more identical pumps.
We are already machining parts, preparing all spare parts in order to reduce downtime as much as possible.
Repairing the foundation of a compressor
A large petrochemical company located near Antwerp had a problem with the foundation and anchor bolt of its Dresser Rand (Siemens) compressor.
The customer had 2 choices, either dismantle the entire compressor (35 tons) and rebuild the concrete, or use a modern technique by removing the old concrete, perfectly aligning the compressor and grouting the space with epoxy resin + filler without having to remove the compressor.
Our client opted for the second, more modern solution.
We completed the entire work and engineering much faster and more cost effectively than the other option.

Large Ensival Strategic Pumps
At MMCo we are able to repair all types of industrial pumps and we have the capacity to also repair your STRATEGIC PUMPS like the large Ensival PR2M, 485 m3/h - 46 bar, 732 kW, 2970 rpm.
We monitor these pumps every three months by monitoring and measuring data to maintain their INTEGRITY.
New Building
We are proud to announce the start of expansion work at ISSG, MMCo, Redytec and STS.
After only 5 years, to keep up with our growth and serve our customers even better, we are already expanding our building. We will almost double the surface area to integrate new equipment and accommodate even larger pumps. Our lifting capacity will be 10 tons. We are also installing a test pit.

Inpro Seal on a KSB Boiler Feed Multi Stage Pump
One of our customers in the chemical industry had to change the bearings in his pump every six months because they were contaminated by condensate from the pump.
The original labyrinth seals only worked when the pump was running. When the pump was stopped, the bearing would not seal.
We replaced the manufacturer's labyrinth seals with Inpro-Seal labyrinth seals, which are leak-tight at standstill thanks to the internal O-ring.
Since then, the pump has been running smoothly and there have been no more untimely bearing replacements.
Fire pump
MMCo and Redytec, 2 companies of the ISSG group, worked together to repair a fire pump and its foundation.
A customer from the Ghent region called on our services to repair one of their fire pumps down to the smallest detail and within a very tight deadline. While the MMCo team repaired the pump, the Redytec team prepared the foundations and together they reinstalled and put the fire pump back into service.
We have since repaired the customer's 2nd fire pump.
Balancing machine
MMCo is equipped with a balancing machine to balance your pump impellers and shafts during repairs.
The balancer has a capacity of 1100 kg, a maximum wheel diameter of 1000 mm and a working length of 3200 mm.
The reliability of the repair depends to a large extent on the balancing, a well-balanced wheel avoids vibrations and premature wear of the bearings.

Air Liquide fan cooling
One of our customers' cooling tower fans was no longer properly secured.
We removed the old concrete, cleaned the surface and prepared a new, perfectly flat epoxy resin surface.
New anchors were installed to mount the fan reducer.
The fan was then secured in place and quickly put back into service.

Inpro Seal Air Mizer Cotton Nation
Katoen Natie challenges us to improve the reliability of the rotary seal of their powder mixers.
The current lip seal leaks a lot and wears out the shaft. After each production badge they have to clean the seal with hot water to avoid any contamination between two different badges.
We offered them an Inpro-Seal Air Mizer with a nitrogen flush 1 bar above the internal pressure.
This solution has now been operational for more than 5 years.
No more leaks, no more shaft wear and no more cleaning between badges.
The customer saves a lot of money and improves the quality and reliability of his production.
Since then they have also ordered other Air Mizers which are also ATEX certified.
